The brake camshaft is a key component in the car engine. Its primary function is to control the opening and closing of the valve, to ensure the engine keeps the fresh combustible mixture in the cylinder and discharge the incinerated exhaust gas during operation. It is an essential component of the engine.

Specifically, the brake camshaft directly drives the valve through the rocker arm, which is more suitable for high-speed car engines. Due to the high speed, the top-mounted camshaft and the overhead valve are usually used to ensure the intake and exhaust and the transmission power, the vibration and noise caused by the high speed, and the simplified transmission structure. Thus, the structure of the engine will be more compact.
